The Conch Bearer by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruniy! The review........, well, was 0 out of 5 stars in my opinion, which is a scary one! The main character Anand leaves his family to go "search for a 'lost' city of magic". Ring any bells? My friends, if you LOVE magic books and people deserting their families, then you'll LOVE this book. (If you do read it, I'm going to say NISHA WAS MY FAVE CHARACTER!!!!!
